I'm 20 and want to be settled in a few years but I've got no hope of that if all the men around don't want to be! I suppose I'm not career orientated at all so having a family is my main thing in life. Not what you're looking for? Report 9 years ago 2.
My boyfriend is 24 and has been thinking about settling down for a while He's been working since 16, and he's financially stable, has a house, car, the lot, the only thing missing for him is a family. I think it depends where a guy is in his career really. Guys are lucky that they can afford to wait a little longer and focus on getting that career and financial security first. I read somewhere that women marry when they meet the right person, and guys marry when they feel ready to settle down and whoever they're with gets to come along for the ride.
